I really wanted to do something with this pose when I saw it, and I've been turning over in my head what I would do with it, and eventually this came up.
So I'm uploading this WIP so I can get a bit of feedback, because I'll probably spend lots of time on it, and also to hunt for suggestions for the movie poster behind her- right now the best idea I've come up with is 'Confetti: The Musical'. It's a hit, really. :/
I was thinking of perhaps something classic, referencing an old movie poster, but I don't actually have any movie knowledge to back up that thought.

Originality Technique ImpactReading the critique left before me, they are correct in saying trying to give any feedback with something that's still a WIP with this minimal of detail, ideas don't start to pop.
However, going straight to the movie poster, my first feeling was Broadway, looking at the refrence image and casting it over to this image and trying to imagine more of it, it reminds me of Broadway, the woman being a similar figure to that of Marilyn Monroe, not so much with the looks, but as i think of Marilyn Monroe, i have that famous scene with the vent underneath her and her dress blowing upwards, do not ask HOW i get these two to compare but it was the first ideas which came to me.
Broadway // Marilyn Monroe. If your going for a classic style, make the cameras bigger? Maybe i got the wrong end of the stick but back 'then' they did not have small digital cameras.
As there is little to critique, i will stop here, but if its ok with you, post the Finished Work in the thread you requested on, and i will critique the final work also.
